The Tesla CEO, Elon Musk joins the Twitter's board of directors by acquiring a 9.1% stake in the company on April 4th. In one of his polls posted on 25th March, he asked his 80 million followers about Twitter's adherence to its "Freedom of Speech" feature. More than 70% of his followers replied NO. Musk hinted that he was considering introducing new features. Prior to acquiring shares in the company, Musk was known to use Twitter to gather and influence public opinion on the site.

But the fate of the deal has become more uncertain in recent weeks after Musk threatened to walk away, citing concerns over the number of fake accounts on the platform. The billionaire could face a $1 billion breakup fee and possibly even lawsuits if he were to abandon the deal.
